Alex Parry, BA, MSc
Alex has been coaching for 9 years, with a client list ranging from everyday athletes through to squads of national and international level competitors.
He has provided strength and conditioning support to 2 major universities, as well as City of Leeds Swimming Club Talent Pathways, Cultiv8 Tennis Academy, and Leeds Rebound Gymnastics Club Elite Squads.
Alongside this, he is a PhD researcher and Assistant Lecturer at the University of Hull, specialising in Strength Coach-Athlete relationships, as well as working as a tutor and educator for British Weightlifting.

Do You Write training Programmes?
Yes, we design training programmes based on your specific needs. We also have a selection of pre-written programmes for specific training goals.
What are your coaching Qualifications?
I have a Masters Degree in Strength & Conditioning, Level 1 and 2 British Weightlifting Certifications and Level 3 Sports Conditioning Certification. I am also currently pursuing a PhD in Strength Coach-Athlete Relationships.
Do you offer scholarships?

How does coaching work?
As a 1:1 coached athlete, you would start each week by receiving a goal setting check-in video. You would then follow your custom-made programme, filling in performance and recovery scores that I would closely monitored. Throughout the week you would submit exercise videos for technique feedback, as well as have daily Q&A contact through WhatsApp.
Who have you worked with?
I have provided strength and conditioning support to Leeds Beckett and Leeds Universities, City of Leeds Swimming Club, Cultiv8 Tennis Academy and Leeds Rebound Gymnastics Club. I have also worked with individual athletes from recreational through to senior international level, and acted as Head Coach of Yorkshire Barbell Club, as well as Outlift Powerlifting Club.
Do you also work with youth athletes?
Yes, I also work with youth athletes. Coaching is delivered in collaboration with parents/carers, who must be present in all communication channels, as well as responsible for signing onboarding documents, making payments etc.
